The Rescue Run 5k planning committee is hard at work prepping what we hope to be the best ever Rescue Run 5k and Rescue Rally!

The Monster Milers hosted the first RR5k in 2013, and the event sold out. Since 2013's epic start, The Rescue Run has won multiple awards and is a local favorite among Philadelphia Runners. This event is incredibly important to us, and provides the necessary funding to keep our Shelter Dog Running and Rescue Programs up and "running!" Yes, silly pun intended. Not only does our event support The Monster Milers, we invite other Shelter and Rescue Organizations to the Rescue Rally so that our participants and spectators can learn how to support those groups as well, and meet the adoptable dogs that they bring! Your participation is SO important to us. Please join us on Race Day!

Event Details When: Saturday November 2nd at 8:30am. Rescue Rally will be from 9am until 11am. Where: FDR Park, Philadelphia Who: ANYONE AND EVERYONE! What: The Rescue Run 5K is Philly’s first race to benefit and promote rescue and adoption. On race day, runners and spectators are able to meet dogs for adoption from partner shelters and get more information about volunteering locally. Proceeds go to continuing the mission of us, The Monster Milers, Philly’s shelter dog running and rescue, 501c3 non-profit volunteer group.
